The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Spa & Casino is a 416-room beachfront luxury hotel located in the Isla Verde section of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The hotel features 24,000 square feet of function space, an outdoor pool complex, a 13,000 square foot casino, two specialty branded restaurants, and a 12,000 square foot spa. Upon acquiring the Ritz, CPG engaged in an aggressive repositioning of the property by renovating certain rooms, renovating the lobby and common areas, and adding balconies to a number of oceanfront rooms. In addition, CPG added two new restaurants to the Ritz - Il Mulino and BLT Steak, as well as created new retail opportunities by reconfiguring the lobby area and adding a Tiffany and Little Switzerland. The property is currently the highest rated hotel in San Juan, with hotel revenues and profitability having increased substantially since CPG's acquisition in 2004.
