The Escorial Portfolio comprises a 103-unit condominium project and a 30,000-SF neighborhood shopping center located in Carolina, Puerto Rico as well as a beachfront parcel located in Isla Verde. CPG originated a new loan in March 2012 to cancel the existing obligations encumbering the properties and provided liquidity to complete the construction and sale of the condominiums. Construction of the condominiums has been completed, the commercial property and the land parcel have been monetized, and the borrower is currently selling remaining residential inventory.
